To whom it may concern,

     This letter that I am writing to you is about how America should use solar energy to improve the way we live. I have found a lot of helpful research that I am hoping to show, which will help us find a new way of using light instead of using up energy. This will also save over 20% of American's money that they have wasted on electricity.
     Everyday the sun rises and sends out its rays. These lights of the sun are necessary in humans’ life. It is know that life depends on the water which mostly comes from rains. In fact, the sun is one of the main causes of the rains in the water cycle. Over the history, there are many examples of using the sun as a source of energy. The old cultures discovered that fact and used the sun as a way to ignite wood. This way relied on converting the sunlight into one ray by using plates of glasses. Then, in the early 1900’s, the steam engines had its power from the solar energy collector that produced the heat to evaporate the steam. During last century, the “efficient solar boiler invented by Charles Greeley Abbott” was great achievement in the technology of solar energy (“Solar Energy.” Latent). Recently, the necessity of the sun arises from Its energy to be an alternative for regular defective energies. Solar energy can be used in many ways: to supply heat, lighting, mechanical power and electricity and many other stuff. Meanwhile, The idea of using the solar energy as a main source of energy has advantages and disadvantages.
     After reading this I hope that you will turn over to the green side where everything is more efficient  . What I am trying to say is that the energy that is controls your light , charges your computers . You can   do a green way . So lets be one of the first country that uses  solar panels.



PROFICIENCIES #1

Problem : How does the mass of a toy car affect the distance a piece of wood moves ?

Hypothesis : I predect that heaver car will push the piece of wood father than a light wight car .

Experiment:
CV: degree of rape, wight of wood blocks, staring point
IV: same length of car
DV:  the cars
Control:

procedure:
  find a broad put it on a angle then put a piece of wood and roll the car off the angle of the board and measure the distance between the piece  of wood and  the end of the ramp . then do it tree times for the tree cars .

Materials:
wood broad
3 toy cars
one piece of wood ( not that big)
and a flat surface

conclusion :
I was right the car that had the bigger mass made the wood go a bigger distance from the end of the ramp . I had to keep  looking at where the block of wood was for the first time tell the last one .
