the evil goverment AKA HB

Have you ever wondered if there was someone in the world that looked just like you? Had the same strength, looks, and quickness? Well in this case, people in the year 2081 people were like this. Wouldn’t you hate that, hate the fact that someone is just like you. I mean it would be nice to be the same sometimes but all the time would suck. 

The short story "Harrison Bergeron" reminds me of a point in history when the Nazis wanted to take over the world. Killing people that were not German, blonde and blue eyes, mentally held back, and religion. The same thing is happening to the citizens of America in 2081; someone named Diana moon Glampers she is the one who thought of the idea of if your pretty you wear a mask,if your strong you hold sand bags , if you are smart you have this earphone type thing  that makes a buzzing noise every 30 seconds so  you forget everything that you just learned or thought of. Harrison is a 14 year old boy who stands up for what he believes in. He thinks that the people should not be treated like this. People are people; that is what makes a world, different people, different ideas , different looks, and different power.  The world that they live in is not a world anymore; it is like a movie set acting like someone they're not but they have to anyway.

  I believe that the story was to make the reader think , think about how our government would be like if this happened . Why are people so afraid to stand up for what they believe for, people are afraid to change , Harrison was not just a 14 year old boy he was a brave, strong, smart , man!
